Introducing
Our Founder’s Story
Addina’s career was built around people. Coaching them, guiding them, helping them grow. It was meaningful work, but over time it became heavy. One thing kept coming up again and again. Everyone needed space to slow down and reconnect. And quietly, so did she.
The hustle was exciting at first, but it slowly took its toll. Anxiety crept in. Coffee-fuelled days began to affect her sleep, her gut, and her sense of balance. She was looking for a different kind of energy. Something steadier. Something kinder.
While on a sabbatical in Japan, Addina wandered into a small tea house tucked away in a quiet Kyoto back street. There, she experienced matcha in a way she never had before. The first sip felt like a pause. Calm but alert. Focused but grounded. No jitters. No crash.
That moment changed everything.
Muncha was born from that realisation. A return to stillness. A gentler way to move through the day. And from the desire to build a community around these moments of pause.
